Fiction: Close Reading of a Poem hind end Boyd AGUC0308H ENG/125 University of Phoenix-Augusta Campus Allison Sweeney October 5, 2009 The Poet The rime I exact was called, “A acerbate Tree”, by William Blake. William Blake is the third son born to the tardily Catherine nee Wright and James Blake, on November 28, 1757, in London, England. Two of his sixsome siblings died in their early childhood years. In his infancy, Blake claimed he had visions, including dig God and angels in a corner. Two years in the first place becoming a poet, Blake was also a painter and an engraver at the age of ten. He also found himselfcreating the engravings that would illustrate his occupy poetry. Blake married the late Catherine Sophia Boucher in 1782, he also taught her how to read and write. In 1803 after a violent confrontation with soldier John Scolfied in which Blake uttered treasonable comments against the King, he was boost with se dition, but later acquitted. William Blake died in 1827 and was buried in an unmarked grave in the Non-Conformist Bunhill Fields in London. In this meter the character is full of pettishness and fear. The principal theme of this verse form to me is not necessarily ire, but how the control of ire leads to the promotion of anger itself.
